The Pyramid Cabaret is always interested in hosting benefit concerts to help broaden and unite surrounding communities. Please email email@example.com for any inquiries.
Here are just a few of the past benefit concerts we’ve had the privilege of hosting:
Disney For The Fun Of It
The Pyramid Cabaret choose one deserving family, The Morgado Family (Thomas, Kelly, Dalvin and Tyren) to send to Disneyland in 2006! It was our desire to bring smiles and lasting memories to a young family. The Pyramid Cabaret and its employees organized fundraisers as well as donated wages and tips to make this wonderful event happen! It has been going strong annually ever since.
Skate 4 Cancer
The official after party of Skate 4 Cancer 2012 took place at the Pyramid after a full day at The Forks set the mood in raising awareness and money for cancer prevention and awareness.
Chutney Mayhem is a an art-based fundraiser for the Jagruthi Orpahanage in Bangalore, India. This institution houses 96 children, all are children of sex workers and 1/3 are living with HIV & AIDS. The money raised last year went to help to feed, clothe, house, provide medications and a few of the teens went on to college.
The Fighting Hellfish
A charity that was started in September of 2001, a few months after Lucille Smith passed away following a 7 year battle with breast cancer. The charity is in its 12th year and has raised over $100,000 so far in two different ways. The first is through the auction of quilts made by her best friend Margaret Lapenski and her sister Rita Shedden. The rest of the contributions are made through a biannual benefit social featuring The Fighting Hellfish. These benefits hosted by The Pyramid Cabaret are a great party with fantastic prizes and silent auction items.
Open House 4 Haiti
"Rocking for a good cause this week are J.D. Edwards, Ingrid Gatin, History of Night, Dusty Roads and Sweet Alibi - all of whom are on the lineup at an Open House for Haiti Thursday at the Pyramid. Proceeds from the door are going to the Red Cross."
Brent Parkin Fundraiser
Members of Winnipeg's music community rallied together November 11th 2007to help raise money for blues guitar wizard Brent Parkin, who has been unable to work since suffering a heart attack in September. Parkin has been a regular on the Canadian blues scene for 35 years and earned a Juno for his contribution to the 1993 compilation Saturday Night Blues. The show at the Pyramid featured performances by Swing Soniq, The Swag and the Six Stringers, along with a number of different blues and jazz musicians performing together in different ensembles. The complete lineup which is just too large to print, includes artists such as Greg Lowe, Larry Roy, Janice Finlay, Gilles Fournier, Ron Paley and Big Dave McLean.
